Guest Services Agent / Reception & Reservations


• Full / part Time positions available
• Ideally candidates will have:
* A high level of customer service and sales experience in reservations
* Be self-motivated, energetic with a high level of personal presentation
* Excellent phone manner with intermediate computer skills
* The ability to self prioritise and complete shift procedures efficiently
* Ability to be quick thinking and resourceful with a hands-on approach to completing required tasks
* Accurate recording, monitoring of payments and guest accounts
• Successful applicants must be available for a variety of shifts across a 7-day rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Assistant Housekeeping Manager

The Role:
The Assistant Housekeeping Manager is responsible for working with the Housekeeping Manager in the overall presentation of the property (guest rooms and public areas) through effective and efficient operations of the Housekeeping Department, focusing on maximising cleanliness, profitability, and guest satisfaction.
The Assistant Housekeeping Manager will be required to help build and create a pro-active team of like-minded professionals who LOVE what they do. They will monitor all aspects of employee activity to ensure the highest quality in cleanliness and service across respective areas of housekeeping, public areas, and uniforms.
As a large Resort (with a MASSIVE output) this role will require an individual who is very hands on.
• Overseeing (with the Head of Dept) the cleaning of guestrooms and public areas ensuring through inspection that standards of cleanliness and guest comfort are maintained in accordance with Resort standards
• Understand detailing/ deep cleaning of all rooms

We are looking for:
• Proven experience in a similar Housekeeping role or willing to take the the next step.
• The ability to handle high stress, high pressured, situations.

• Highly developed organisational skills and excellent administrative skills including a very high attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously and lead with initiative.
• Outstanding communications and presentation skills both written and verbal.

• A demonstrated hands-on approach within a 4/5-star Housekeeping Department conducting daily room inspections to ensure duties have been completed to meet service standards and guaranteed arrival times
• Experience with interviewing and hiring of all housekeeping staff and employee levels.
• Experience in coordinating and providing adequate training and re-training of all housekeeping staff.
• Ability to identify employees for possible promotions.
• Customer-centric, passionate and consistent, with excellent attention to detail in maintaining brand standards
• As necessary, establish new standards to provide the guests the highest quality of service.
• Superior communication skills with the ability to have positive involvement and interaction with both guests and the overall Hotel team
• Demonstrate established effective and positive inter-departmental relationships with Hotel teams including Maintenance & Front Office
• Demonstrate Leadership, organising and time management skills
• Excellent associate management to drive performance excellence in quality and productivity, including training, development, rostering, work allocation and performance improvement
• Previous experience using a Property Management System, preferably Opera PMS
• Experience in leading and managing a team with the Hospitality Industry General Award,
• Minimum of 4 years experience in a housekeeping leadership role (highly desirable)
• Responsible for proper quality control and daily monitoring of staff.
• Ensure standards of cleanliness are met in all areas of responsibility.
• Perform timely and fair performance appraisals of all staff.
• Oversee the safe and productive evaluation of the hotel laundry.
• Effectively liaise with outsourced providers.
• At all times act as a leader and sets a great example.
• You must also meet the legal requirements to work in Australia.

Maintenance / Handyperson

As an AWESOME HANDYPERSON with Abbey Beach Resort, you will assist the Maintenance team in the outstanding service to guests and staff by the efficient and effective maintenance of Abbey Beach Resort property, plant and equipment.
The key skills and attributes you need to have are:
•     Part time with full time hours possible for the right candidate
• Trade qualifications not necessary, however highly regarded.
• Current Australian drivers license.
• Previous experience in a similar role is highly regarded.
• Maintain a clean and tidy appearance.
• Excellent work ethic.
• An eye for detail.
• Be able to work under pressure.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Good knowledge of using powered equipment/ hand tools/lifting equipment .
• Ability to multi task and to work flexibly and deal constructively with unanticipated/variable situations such as co-operative and not so co-operative customers.

Guest Room Attendants


• Part time / full time / casual positions available
• Suit school hours, ie 9.00am – 3.00pm
• All round housekeeping skills preferred, ie cleaning, detailing, inspecting already clean rooms to ensure standards are upheld.
• Be able to work within a team environment achieving goals set by the Head of Department.
• Neat and tidy appearance essential.
• Able to work weekends & Public Holidays when required
• Be calm, passionate and dedicated to consistently produce a high standard of work
• Being able to deal with guests (when necessary) in a polite and friendly manner 


Seamstress


• Part time/ casual position available
• Suit school hours, ie 9.00am – 3.00pm
• Previous industrial sewing experience preferred
• Repairing uniforms/ sewing slates for blinds etc
• Be able to work within a team environment achieving goals set by the Head of Department.
• Neat and tidy appearance essential.
• Be calm, passionate and dedicated to consistently produce a high standard of work

Storeperson

• Part time position Monday – Friday with possibility of full time for the right person
• Be able to work in partnership with the Heads of Department Management to achieve desired goals.
• Ability to work in a physical role
• Neat and tidy appearance essential.
• Stock control, furniture moving, general equipment maintenance  
• Clerical maturity, intermediate computer skills, ie Outlook, word, excel
• Be calm, passionate and dedicated to consistently produce a high standard of work
• Being able to deal with guests (when necessary) in a polite and friendly manner
